The aim of the Bologna Center Office of Career Services is to provide students with long-term career management skills. Throughout the year, Career Services conducts skills workshops, organizes career discussion panels and provides information on professions, internships and jobs. Career Services also invites alumni, guest speakers and fellow students who have pursued successful careers in the private, public and non-profit sectors to share their experiences with the student body.
The Office of Career Services focuses on two areas: career counseling and employer relations. Career counseling is primarily an individualized process that takes into consideration the prior work experience and future career aspirations of each individual student. This is complemented with group workshops covering different stages of the job-searching process. Employer relations are outreach activities with employers, mainly in Europe, to establish contacts and secure job and internship opportunities for students. All of this work is conducted in cooperation with the Office of Career Services in Washington.
