The Bologna Center offers several options for students to construct their graduate-degree programs.
- Master of Arts in International Relations - M.A.
A degree that requires one year in Bologna and a second year in Washington, D.C.
- Master of Arts in International Affairs - MAIA
A two-year research-oriented degree based in Bologna
- Master of International Public Policy - MIPP
A degree for mid-career professionals based in Bologna
- Bologna Center Diploma in International Studies
A one-year diploma for students who successfully complete one year of course work in Bologna
- Cooperative Degree Programs
- In addition to the diplomas offered at the graduate level SAIS offers dual degrees with universities in the United States. The Bologna Center has two agreements that offer students combined degrees.

- Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
SAIS in Washington offers a Ph.D. program to which a few successful M.A. candidates are admitted each year, including students who have studied at the Bologna Center. The Bologna Center does not have a separate Ph.D. program. Inquiries should be addressed to the Admissions Office in Washington, D.C.
